London 2012 Olympic Cauldron by Thomas Heatherwick

Thomas Heatherwick's Olympic torch design consists of 204 copper petals each representing one of the competing nations (166 for Paralympics).  The individual petals come together to create one giant flame.  Each nation takes home a petal at the end of the games.
