Swarovski Whitechapel Gallery Art Icon 2014: Howard Hodgkin

Howard Hodgkin is the first artist to be given the Swarovski Whitechapel Gallery Art Icon, presented last night at a spectacular gala dinner at the Whitechapel Gallery.  Sponsored by Swarovski, the venue glistened with beautiful crystal decor.  The award was presented to Howard Hodgkin by artist and musician, Martin Creed, who currently has an exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, What's the point of it?  Among the glamorous guests were Antony Gormley, Gillian Wearing and Designers Partik Fredrikson & Ian Stallard.  Incredible canapés and catering by By Word of Mouth and drinks provided by Firefly and Perrier Jouet champagne.  Gorgeous luxury sofas by Ligne Roset.  A wonderful event to capture.
